FRANKFURT — German industrial orders leapt in January, gaining 4.3 percent from December owing to a 7.1-percent surge on the domestic side, provisional figures from the economy ministry showed on Friday.Analysts polled by Dow Jones Newswires had forecast an increase of just 1.5 percent in manufacturing orders, after Europe's biggest economy had posted a decline of 2.3 percent the previous month.
